Dr. Robert Hotchkiss operates on New Jersey Devils center

Robert Hotchkiss, MD, performed finger surgery on Jack Hughes, a center for the New Jersey Devils at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City. 

Mr. Hughes is expected to return to playing in eight weeks and will be re-evaluated in six weeks, according to a Nov. 15 news release from the Devils. 

He injured his hand during a “freak accident” at a team dinner where he was cut by glass, according to a Nov. 15 report from espn.com.

Dr. Hotchkiss is a hand and upper extremity surgeon at HSS, where he also serves as medical director of clinical research.
