Dr. Ferkel works with the Southern California Orthopedic Institute in Van Nuys. The AANA award recognizes physicians’ service for the orthopedic community. Dr. Ferkel was honored for his dedication to teaching, innovation and community service.
He worked as the team physician for multiple high school and college teams for over 40 years. He also is a go-to foot and ankle surgeon for many professional athletes.
