Dr. Peter Millett operates on New Jersey Devils forward

Peter Millett, MD, performed shoulder surgery on Jack Hughes, a center for the New Jersey Devils, at the Steadman Clinic in Vail, Colo., on March 5.

The procedure will cause Mr. Hughes to miss the remainder of the NHL season, according to a March 5 news release from the team. 

Mr. Hughes injured his shoulder after colliding with the end boards during a game on March 2. 

The team expects Mr. Hughes to make a full recovery before the start of next season. 

Dr. Millett is an orthopedic surgeon, sports medicine specialist and a partner at the Steadman Clinic.
