Norman Waldrop, MD, is set to perform ankle surgery on Bo Nix, a quarterback for the Denver Broncos, according to a Jan. 19 report from FOX 31.
The surgery will repair a fractured right ankle Mr. Nix suffered in a playoff game Jan. 17, and will cause him to miss the remainder of the season.
The procedure will be performed at the Andrews Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Center in Birmingham, Ala.
Dr. Waldrop is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in foot and ankle surgery at The Foot & Ankle Center at Andrews Sports Medicine. He is also an orthopedic consultant for the New Orleans Saints, another NFL team.
