Dr. Nitin Goyal named to Zimmer Biomet’s executive leadership team

Zimmer Biomet promoted orthopedic surgeon Nitin Goyal to its executive leadership team, the medtech company said Sept. 5.

Dr. Goyal, a hip and knee reconstruction surgeon, joined Zimmer Biomet in June 2021 as the company’s first chief science, technology and innovation officer, according to a news release. In his new role, he will continue overseeing gloval innovation, medical education, clinical affairs and reimbursement strategy. He will report to CEO Ivan Tornos.

Zimmer Biomet also promoted Wilfred van Zuilen to group president of the EMEA region, and Mark Bezjak was promoted to president of the Americas.
