The procedure was a flexor tendon repair and full reconstruction of the ulnar collateral ligament in Mr. Waldichuk’s left elbow. In addition, Dr. ElAttrache performed an internal brace procedure, according to a May 16 news release.

Mr. Waldichuk initially experienced discomfort in his elbow at the end of last season in September. In October, Steve Yoon, MD, performed a Tenex procedure and Mr. Waldichuk received a PRP injection to the flexor tendon the following week.

After rehabbing during the offseason, Mr. Waldichuk was shut down following a setback.

The team estimates Mr. Waldichuk will have a recovery of approximately 13 months, the release said.
