Neal ElAttrache, MD, performed elbow surgery on Carlos Rodón, a pitcher for the New York Yankees, on Oct. 15 in Los Angeles.
The procedure was to remove loose bodies and shave down a bone spur in Mr. Rodón’s left elbow, according to an Oct. 16 news release from mlb.com.
Mr. Rodón will not throw for the next eight weeks. The team expects him to miss the start of the 2026 MLB season, but return in April or May.
Dr. ElAttrache is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine at the Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic in Los Angeles. He also serves as head team physician for the Los Angeles Dodgers, as well as the Los Angeles Rams.
