Neal ElAttrache, MD, performed successful shoulder surgery on Trey Murphy III, a small forward for the New Orleans Pelicans, in Los Angeles.
The procedure was to repair a torn labrum in Mr. Murphy’s right shoulder, according to a March 26 news release from the team.
Mr. Murphy will miss the remainder of the 2024-25 NBA season but is expected to make a full recovery.
Dr. ElAttrache is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine at the Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic in Los Angeles. He is also the head team physician for the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Los Angeles Rams.
