Dr. Mike Van Manen joins Hanson Clinic in Pueblo West: 5 key notes

Hanson Clinic in Pueblo West (Colo.) welcomed orthopedic surgeon Mike Van Manen, DO, according to The Pueblo Chieftain.

Here are five things to know:

 

1. Dr. Van Manen is a general orthopedic surgeon with a special interest in sports medicine.

 

2. Prior to joining Hanson Clinic, Dr. Van Manen served in the U.S. Navy, spending four years at the Naval Hospital Twentynine Palms (Calif.).

 

3. During his time in the Navy, Dr. Van Manen, a Pueblo native, received several medals and commendations related to his patient care.

 

4. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Van Manen has conducted research to forward the field and co-authored papers on knee arthritis and trauma.

 

5. Dr. Van Manen earned his doctor of osteopathic medicine at A.T. Still University in Kirksville, Mo. He completed his orthopedic internship and residency at Memorial Hospital in York, Pa.
