Mr. McLain was the last major league pitcher to ever win 30 games in a season. In 1968, he led the Tigers to a World Series championship.

Five years ago, Mr. McLain had a knee replacement on his right knee, which left him dissatisfied, according to a Feb. 21 press release from Grand Blanc, Mich.-based McLaren Health Care.

Following his left knee replacement with Dr. Wagner in October 2022, Mr. McLain was walking within a day.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
