Dr. Michael Nett receives promotion to chair of orthopedics at New York hospital

Board-certified orthopedic surgeon Michael Nett, MD, was named to chair of orthopedics at South Side Hospital in Bay Shore, N.Y., reports Newsday.

Dr. Nett earned his medical degree from State University of New York Downstate Medical Center College of Medicine in Brooklyn, N.Y., and completed his residency at Mayo School of Graduate Medical Education in Rochester, Minn.

His primary areas of focus are arthroplasty, bloodless surgery, partial and total joint replacement and revision joint replacement.

Dr. Nett is affiliated with several hospitals in Bay Shore including Lenox Hill Hospital and North Shore University Hospital.
