Dr. Matthew Leibman operates on Boston Red Sox star

Matthew Leibman, MD, performed surgery on Red Sox left-handed pitcher Chris Sale on July 18, WDEA reported.

Mr. Sale broke his left pinky finger in the bottom of the first inning of a game, and he was taken to Dr. Leibman for an open reduction and internal fixation of a left fifth finger proximal phalanx fracture. 

Dr. Leibman performed the surgery at the Newton-Wellesley Surgery Center in Wellesley, Mass.
