The surgery was to repair Mr. Wiseman’s torn left Achilles tendon. While a full recovery timeline has not been established, Achilles tendon tears are typically season ending, according to the report.

Dr. O’Malley performed the procedure while the Pacers were in New York City to play the Knicks.

Mr. Wiseman suffered the injury in an Oct. 23 game against Detroit. This is his second major leg injury in his five seasons in the NBA, the report said.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
