1. Dr. Levin is the Paul B. Magnuson Professor of Bone and Joint Surgery and chair of the department of orthopedic surgery at Penn Medicine.
2. He is also the director of the hand transplantation program at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. He has board certification in orthopedic surgery with a certificate of added qualification in hand surgery.
3. Throughout his career, Dr. Levin published more than 244 peer reviewed journals and 69 book chapters.
4. He has been chairman of the American College of Surgeons’ Advisory Council for Orthopaedic Surgery, REGENTS and president of the World Society of Reconstructive Microsurgery.
5. Dr. Levin earned his medical degree at Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia and completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, N.C. His additional training includes fellowships in pediatric orthopedics and hand and microvascualr surgery at Shriner’s Hospital for Crippled Children, Christine Kleinert Institute in Louisville, Ky., and Duke University Orthopaedic in Durham.
