Dr. Keith Meister to treat Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher

Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher Jared Jones will visit Keith Meister, MD, on May 20, to have an ulnar collateral ligament sprain in his right elbow examined, according to a May 18 report from Trib Live.

Dr. Meister is a sports medicine specialist at TMI Sports Medicine in Arlington, Texas, and the head team physician of the Texas Rangers. He has treated a number of professional athletes, from baseball to basketball players. 

Mr. Jones has been sidelined from play since spring training and may have to undergo Tommy John surgery, according to the report.
