Dr. Keith Meister performs season-ending surgery on MLB pitcher

Keith Meister, MD, director of sports medicine at Arlington-based Texas Metroplex Institute for Sports Medicine, performed a season-ending Tommy John surgery on Seattle Mariners pitcher Robbie Ray, according to a May 3 report from mlb.com

Mr. Ray underwent the Tommy John procedure and a previously scheduled flexor tendon repair. 

While it was expected that Mr. Ray would miss the remainder of the 2023 season, he may miss the 2024 season as well, according to the report.
