Dr. Jonathan Glashow to perform knee surgery on NBA player Victor Oladipo

Jonathan Glashow, MD, is set to perform knee surgery on Victor Oladipo, a player for the Miami Heat in the NBA, according to an April 24 report by the Miami Herald.

The surgery will repair a torn patellar tendon in his left knee during a playoff game on April 22.

Dr. Glashow is an orthopedic surgeon and sports medicine specialist at his practice in New York City. He is also the co-chief of sports medicine orthopedics at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City and is a member of the NBA and NHL physician’s societies. 

The initial recovery timeline for the surgery is six months before starting work on the court, meaning Mr. Oladipo could return in 2024, the report said.

Dr. Glashow operated on Mr. Oladipo’s quadricep tendon in his right knee in May 2021.
