Dr. John Uribe operates on Florida Panthers player

John Uribe, MD, performed knee surgery on Aleksander Barkov, a center for the Florida Panthers, Sept. 26 at Baptist Health Doctors Hospital.

Mr. Barkov suffered injuries to his anterior cruciate ligament and medial collateral ligament during a practice Sept. 25, according to a Sept. 26 news release from the Panthers. 

The expected recovery timeline for Mr. Barkov’s injuries are between seven and nine months, the team said. 

Dr. Uribe is an orthopedic surgeon and sports medicine specialist. He serves as the team physician for the Panthers as well as the NFL’s Miami Dolphins.
