1. Dr. McElroy specializes in open and minimally invasive spine surgery techniques.
2. He began his career after earning his degree from Dallas-based University of Texas Southwestern Medical School. He completed an internship and residency at Fort Worth, Texas-based John Peter Smith Hospital and a fellowship at Scottsdale-based Spine Institute of Arizona.
3. The University of North Texas awarded his research first place on its research appreciation day in 2016.
4. Outside of his practice, Dr. Mcelroy has a wife and two children. He enjoys hiking, swimming, off-roading and the outdoors.
