John Crockarell, MD, a total joint replacement surgeon was elected chief of staff at Memphis, Tenn.-based Campbell Clinic.
Dr. Crockarell has nearly 30 years of clinical and academic experience, according to a Jan. 9 news release shared with Becker’s. His appointment was effective Jan. 1, and he succeeds Frederick Azar, MD.
“Dr. Crockarell’s deep expertise, steadfast dedication to patients, and decades of service at Campbell Clinic make him the ideal choice to continue the tradition of excellence set forth by Dr. Azar, leading our physician community forward,” Campbell Clinic CEO Daniel Shumate said in the release. “He embodies the Clinic’s values of expertise, empathy, and innovation. I look forward to his leadership as we continue building on our legacy of world-class orthopedic care.”
Dr. Crockarell earned his medical degree at University of Tennessee-Memphis and completed his residency at UT-Campbell Clinic.
