Dr. MacMillan and Dr. Wenner will begin practicing in the Kimball area Nov. 1, with the addition of a new medical facility with additional patient beds.

Dr. MacMillan specializes in total knee, shoulder and hip replacements, using minimally invasive techniques.

Dr. Wenner, an orthopedic nurse practitioner, has worked with Dr. MacMillan in Kansas, Colorado and Nebraska. The pair join Kimball Hospital from Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff, Neb.

“It’s an exciting time for the community, to get not only a brand new facility, but hopefully to bring a whole bunch of new providers to the community,” Dr. MacMillan told News Channel Nebraska. “There’s no shortage of a need for orthopedics here.”

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
