Dr. Jason Sanders named CMO of biotechnology company

Orthopedic surgeon Jason Sanders, MD, has been appointed CMO of biotechnology company EV Biologics, formerly Yulong Eco-Materials, according to an Aug. 31 news release.

Four things to know:

1. EV Biologics aims to commercialize human mesenchymal and other stem cell products in the cosmetic and biopharmaceutical fields.

2. Dr. Sanders operates an orthopedic practice in Miami Beach, Fla., and focuses on developing minimally invasive techniques for musculoskeletal tissue regeneration.

3. Dr. Sanders will lead research on extracellular vesicles and the development of exosome-based clinical diagnostics and therapeutics.

4. EV Biologic is currently negotiating to acquire a stem cell company based in the U.S.
