Dr. James Huddleston named president of AAHKS

James “Hutch” Huddleston, III, MD, is the new president of the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons, the organization said Feb. 20.

Dr. Huddleston has been a member of AAHKS since 2009, according to a news release. As chair of the advocacy committee and health policy council he advocated for orthopedic surgeons in Washington, D.C. He also earned the AAHKS Presidential Award in 2020.

He is director of adult reconstruction and an orthopedic professor at Stanford University School of Medicine. Dr. Huddleston earned his medical degree at the University of Vermont in Burlington, and he completed the Harvard Combined Orthopaedic Residency Program and fellowship in adult reconstruction at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.
