Dr. Harpreet Bawa joins Southern California Orthopedic Institute

Harpreet S. Bawa, MD, joined Van Nuys-based Southern California Orthopedic Institute. Dr. Bawa will practice at the group’s Thousand Oaks, Calif., location, the VC Star reports.

Here are three things to know:

1. Dr. Bawa is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in robotic-assisted surgery, including total and partial knee replacement, anterior and posterior hip replacement and hip resurfacing procedures.

2. He serves on the medical staff of Thousand Oaks-based Los Robles Regional Medical Center.

3. He received his medical degree from Cleveland-based Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine and completed his internship and orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Chicago. Dr. Bawa underwent hip and knee reconstruction and joint replacement fellowship training at Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City.
