Dr. Gregory Mencio receives Commander’s Award for Civilian Service

Blanchfield Army Community Hospital in Fort Campbell, Ky., and the Fort Campbell community honored Gregory Mencio, MD, with the Commander’s Award for Civilian Service.

For 23 years, Dr. Mencio served as a pediatric orthopedics consultant and traveled monthly to BACH to provide care as well as training and guidance to hospital staff.

 

Dr. Mencio is the director of pediatric orthopedics at the Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt in Nashville, Tenn.
