Dr. Erik Freeland named orthopedics chief of New York medical center

Niagara Falls (N.Y.) Memorial Medical Center has appointed Erik Freeland, DO, as chief of orthopedics, according to a Dec. 30 report from Niagara Frontier Publications.

In the role, Dr. Freeland will oversee the development of orthopedic services at the medical center.

Dr. Freeland specializes in the treatment of foot and ankle disorders. He joined Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center’s orthopedic team in September 2023.

Prior to Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center, Dr. Freeland served as an orthopedic surgeon at Cooper University Hospital in Camden, N.J.

The appointment is effective Jan. 1, 2025, the report said.
