Dr. Eric Tannenbaum debuts InSpace balloon surgery in Indiana region

Eric Tannenbaum, MD, on Aug. 11 performed the first InSpace balloon procedure in Columbus, Ind., according to an Aug. 17 email shared with Becker’s.

The InSpace procedure is use to treat rotator cuff injuries. It is minimally invasive, and an implant is a biodegradable balloon spacer that doesn’r require sutures or fixation devices.

Dr. Tannenbaum is an orthopedic surgeon with Carmel-based Southern Indiana Orthopedics.
