Dr. Ekaterina Urch honored for contribution to orthopedics

Oregon orthopedic surgeon Ekaterina Urch, MD, has been recognized with Cascade Business News’ annual Accomplished Under 40 Award for excellence in her field.

Dr. Urch is a sports medicine specialist and one of two female orthopedic surgeons at Bend, Ore.-based Center Orthopedic & Neurosurgical Care & Research.

The award takes into account professional accomplishments, industry and community involvement and traits that distinguish nominees from their peers.

Dr. Urch completed a sports medicine fellowship at Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic in Los Angeles before starting her practice at the center, where she has a particular interest in caring for female athletes.
