Dr. Doug Freedberg operates on Oakland Athletics player

Doug Freedberg, MD, performed knee surgery on Miguel Andujar, a player for the Oakland Athletics.

The procedure was a right knee lateral meniscectomy to repair a torn meniscus in Mr. Andujar’s  knee, according to a March 27 news release from the team. The operation typically requires approximately a month of rehabilitation.

The surgery took place at Pima Surgical Center in Scottsdale, Ariz. 

Dr. Freedberg is an orthopedic surgeon at Arizona Sports Medicine Center in Scottsdale.
