Sports medicine physician David Kruse, MD, will serve as head team physician for Team USA’s Milan Village Sports Medicine Clinic at the 2026 Paralympic Winter Games, Cedars-Sinai said in a Feb. 25 news release.
The games will take place from March 6 to March 15 in Milan, Italy. Dr. Kruse is a primary care sports medicine and non-operative orthopedic physician with more than 20 years of experience treating athletes. He also served as part of the Olympic Games in Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020.
“Dr. Kruse’s deep understanding of elite sport and athlete-centered care makes him uniquely qualified to lead medical operations for Team USA’s Milan Village Sports Medicine Clinic at the Paralympic Games,” Jonathan Finnoff, DO, chief medical officer of the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee, said in the release. “His experience supporting athletes with complex medical needs, combined with his leadership across multiple Olympic and Paralympic Games, will be invaluable in delivering world-class care.”
Dr. Kruse is also part of preparations for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
