Daniel Hatz, MD, an orthopedic surgeon at CHI Health Mercy Council Bluffs (Iowa), will now offer part-time services at CHI Health Missouri Valley (Iowa), according to a May 11 report from The Daily Nonpareil.
Dr. Hatz now had two offices, providing care in Missouri Valley three times a month, according to the report.
The expansion will offer access to orthopedic services for rural patients who previously had to travel hours to receive care.
Dr. Hatz will offer care for adult and pediatric patients, including joint replacements, sports medicine care and tendon injuries.
