Daniel Cooper, MD, performed knee surgery on Malik Nabers, a wide receiver for the New York Giants, according to an Oct. 28 report from espn.com.
The surgery was to repair a torn ACL in Mr. Nabers’ right knee that suffered in a game Sept. 28. Mr. Nabers underwent prehab over the past month before the procedure.
The typical recovery time for a torn ACL is about nine months, putting Mr. Nabers in line to return for the start of the 2026 NFL season.
Dr. Cooper is a sports medicine surgeon specializing in injuries to the knee and shoulder. He also serves as the head team physician for the Dallas Cowboys, another NFL team.
