The procedure, performed at the Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute in Winter Park, Fla., was a labral and rotator cuff repair in Mr. McGuire’s right shoulder, according to a Dec. 13 news release from the club.
The recovery timeline for Mr. McGuire’s is expected to be four to five months.
Dr. Mintzer specializes in minimally invasive arthroscopic surgery of the knee and shoulder, as well as sports medicine. He also serves as Orlando City SC’s chief medical officer, the release said.
