Charthage, Ill.-based Memorial Hospital and Macomb, Ill.-based McDonough District Hospital partnered, and added orthopedic surgeon Corey Welchlin, DO, according to an April 21 news release.
Dr. Welchlin will see patients at Memorial Medical Clinic Carthage and MDH. He has practiced orthopedics in community-based settings since 1990, and his clinical expertise includes foot and ankle, hand and upper extremity and sports medicine care.
Dr. Welchlin will see patients at MDH three days a week and at Memorial the remaining days.
“It has been seven years since we’ve employed a full-time orthopedic at MDH,” MDH President & CEO Bill Murdock, said in the release. “We welcome Dr. Welchlin to MDH and the west-central Illinois area. He’s a general orthopedic surgeon who brings a wealth of clinical and surgical experience to our organization.
