Dr. Brian Grottkau named endowed chair at Shriners Hospitals for Children

Shriners Hospitals for Children has awarded Brian Grottkau, MD, the endowed chair in pediatric orthopedics.

Dr. Grottkau is a professor of orthopedics at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and the University of Miami Health System. He is also the chief of pediatric surgical services at Holtz Children’s Hospital in Miami. 

Dr. Grottkau was honored for his research in pediatric orthopedics, including the development of surgical techniques to treat idiopathic scoliosis, according to an April 28 news release.
