Dr. Brent Bauer leads orthopedic trauma at Maryland hospital

The University of Maryland Capital Region Health in Cheverly has appointed Brent Bauer, MD, director of orthopedic traumatology in June.

Dr. Bauer has a special interest in injury treatment, injury prevention, joint reconstruction and joint preservation.

Most recently, he served as trauma medical director at Ascension Medical Group Providence Orthopedic and Sports Medicine in Waco, Texas.

After graduating from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, Dr. Bauer completed a residency at UT Southwestern at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas and an orthopedic traumatology fellowship at R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore.
