Dr. Allan Woo steps down as president of Canadian medical association

Orthopedic surgeon Allan Woo, MD, has completed his 2019-20 term as president of Saskatchewan Medical Association in Canada, Yorkton This Week reports.

Three things to know:

1. Dr. Woo is assistant professor of orthopedic surgery at the University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon.

2. He completed a hip fellowship in Bern, Switzerland, a hip and knee arthroplasty fellowship at the University of Toronto and a spine fellowship at the University of Alberta in Edmonton.

3. Family physician Barb Konstantynowicz, MD, assumed the role of president June 18.
