Dr. Adam Bruggeman named AAOS advocacy council chair

Adam Bruggeman, MD, was named chair of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons Advocacy Council.

He is tasked with leading efforts to promote and advocate for the orthopedic community at the state and federal level, the AAOS said in a March 9 news release. Dr. Bruggeman is an active member of the AAOS and served on the organization’s board of councilors and healthcare systems committee. He was also president of the Texas Orthopaedic Association from 2019 to 2020.

Dr. Bruggeman is a spine surgeon with the Texas Spine Care Center in San Antonio.
