Dr. Adam Bright performs free joint replacement surgery through Operation Walk USA collaboration

Sarasota (Fla.) Memorial Hospital’s Adam Bright, MD, teamed up with Operation Walk USA to provide a patient with free knee replacement surgery, according to the Herald Tribune.

Here are four things to know:

1. Dr. Bright is an orthopedic surgeon who specializes in hip and knee joint replacement surgery

2. He performed the procedure Dec. 6. The patient was one of approximately 30 to receive a free joint replacement from an Operation Walk USA collaboration this holiday season.

3. Operation Walk USA is a nonprofit organization that coordinates free hip and knee surgeries for those who cannot afford care.

4. Dr. Bright is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Florida Orthopaedic Society and Sarasota Medical Society.
