Knoxville, Tenn.-based Dolly Parton Children’s Hospital is teaming up with Knoxville Orthopaedic Clinic to provide sports medicine services to nearly 9,000 student athletes across the region’s schools.
Knoxville Orthopaedic Clinic’s 13 certified athletic trainers provide care for middle and high school student athletes across the county. The trainers offer on-site medical care, injury prevention and rehabilitation support.
The trainers also work with physicians and other pediatric healthcare experts at Dolly Parton Children’s Hospital to help injured athletes recover and return to play. The clinic’s trainers are part of a larger sports medicine outreach program that includes more than two dozen trainers.
At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
