Detroit Pistons point guard undergoes operation at Forte Sports Medicine and Orthopedics

David Porter, MD, and Mark Ritter, MD, surgeons at Forte Sports Medicine and Orthopedics in Carmel, Ind., performed surgery on a left tibial stress fracture for Detroit Pistons’ point guard Cade Cunningham, according to a Dec. 16 report from Sports Illustrated.

Bill Moutzouros, MD, a surgeon at Henry Ford Health in Detroit also consulted on the procedure. 

Mr. Cunningham is expected to miss the rest of the season, but will likely make a full recovery and return for the 2023 offseason.
