As part of restructuring, the sports medicine segment is combining with trauma and extremeties, according to the post. Shoulder reconstruction will also move into the company’s joint reconstruction organization.

Mr. Kamal, who led the global sports medicine and shoulder reconstruction business is stepping down as part of the reconstruction. His post didn’t provide details about other workforce changes.

“I am proud of the work we did to build a high performing, collaborative and inclusive culture, advance our innovation agenda, drive focus and commercial execution and make difference to the patients we have the privilege to serve,” he said in the post.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
