DePuy Synthes collaborated with the surgery team to provide presurgical planning technology, as well as technology for the actual procedure, according to a Nov. 9 press release from NYU.

Three-dimensional surgical planning tools and patient-specific cutting guides from DePuy enabled precise alignment of bones and optimal placement of implantable plates and screws.

NYU did not specify exactly which DePuy tools were used in the release.
