Cleveland Clinic Rehabilitation and Sports Therapy has opened an outpatient physical therapy facility in Erie, Pa., to expand access to orthopedic and sports rehabilitation services in the region.

The site is designed to support recovery from joint replacements, orthopedic injuries and sports-related conditions. It offers services including hip and knee rehabilitation, spine therapy, sports injury treatment and fracture aftercare, according to a Jan. 21 news release from the health system.

Specialty programs at the facility include gait analysis, manual therapy, return-to-sport protocols and instrument-assisted soft tissue management.

The Erie site marks Cleveland Clinic’s latest effort to extend its rehabilitation services beyond Northeast Ohio. Patient care began Jan. 13.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
