The Preston Bradley Center, in Chicago’s Uptown neighborhood, was bought by the surgeon last year for $2 million. It will house the OnePatient Global Health initiative, a nonprofit co-founded by Dr. Ivankovich’s wife Karla. The initiative aims to treat all patients regardless of pay.
In the last year, Dr. Ivankovich and his wife have poured more than $600,000 into renovations. The center is expected to have spaces for group activities and a music studio.
“We don’t need another midnight basketball league,” Dr. Ivankovich told Block Club. “We need mentorship for kids to become doctors, to become nurses, to become advocates for healthcare in their communities.”
At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
