Kansas City, Mo.-based Children’s Mercy has opened a new clinic that houses care for both minor injuries and orthopedics.
The clinic will open on March 16 and offer evening and weekend hours, with walk-in and online scheduling options. A second location is planned for Shawnee, Mo., later this year, according to a March 12 news release.
The “Express Care” clinic is distinct from the system’s urgent care locations and designed for quick treatment of minor illnesses such as sore throat, ear infection, rashes, strep throat and flu The Orthopedic Injury Clinic is staffed by specialists for non-emergency bone and joint injuries and supports follow-up visits with orthopedic and sports medicine providers.
