On May 30, Becker’s asked the chatbot, “What is the best state for orthopedic surgeons to practice in?” Here is what it had to say:
“As an AI language model, I don’t have personal beliefs or preferences. However, some states have better opportunities for orthopedic surgeons. Factors such as pay, job availability, cost of living and malpractice insurance rates may influence the decision. Some states with reputed medical institutions, such as California, Texas, New York and Florida, usually have a higher demand for orthopedic surgeons. Still, it is ultimately up to the individual’s preferences and priorities.”
At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
