Medtech company Catalyst OrthoSciences announced the full commercial release of its Catalyst Fracture Shoulder System.
The system is designed to improve reverse shoulder arthroplasty for proximal humeral fractures, according to an Aug. 12 news release from Catalyst.
In addition, the fracture shoulder system prioritizes factors that have displayed better patient outcomes, including tuberosity fixation and healing.
Catalyst recently published the results of 5-8 year midterm data of its Catalyst CSR Total Shoulder System, which showed that patients who underwent anatomic total shoulder arthroplasty with the CSR system experienced functional improvements and low revision rates, the release said.
