Carle Hospital breaks ground on new orthopedics facility: 3 things to know

Urbana, Ill.-based Carle Hospital has broken ground on its new orthopedics and sports medicine building.

Here are three things to know:

 

1. The 52,000-square-foot facility will house more than 50 physicians, physician assistants, physical therapists and athletic trainers.

 

2. The facility will bring Carle’s orthopedic services under one roof. It is slated to open in 2017.

 

3. The facility’s physicians will offer the full-spectrum of musculoskeletal care, including joint replacements and minimally invasive procedures.
