Verification was earned by meeting standards in patient care and safety, the hospital said in a Dec. 15 news release. U.S. News and Report ranked Shriners Children’s Northern California as one of the top orthopedics prorams in the country.

“We are honored to be only one of two pediatric hospitals in the nation with this verification, chief of orthopedics,” Michelle James, MD, said in the release. “This verification from the American College of Surgeons reflects our organization’s commitment to providing individualized, patient-centered, high-quality care and experience for the families we serve.”

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
